Research on Arnica montana atlantica autochthonous of Galicia and development of its cultivation (2015-2019)
Our first R+D+i project aimed to research the varieties of Arnica montana from Galicia, in particular the autochthonous subspecies Arnica montana atlantica. Scientific studies indicate that this subspecies has great potential in dermatological applications due to its anti-inflammatory and hypoallergenic properties. After 4 years of study we managed to generate unique cultivars with high genetic diversity.
New extraction technologies: valorization of compounds present in the atlantic subspecies (2020-2023).
In collaboration with research groups from Galician universities, we are investigating the efficacy of different extraction processes and analyzing the presence of differential compounds in our plants, in particular sesquiterpene lactones and phenolic compounds. The objective of this project is to develop and implement the necessary processes for the production of a new generation of chemotyped extracts with greater applications.
